Projects and investment models: from investor-side support to ready-to-build packages
This page describes not advisory support (which is covered in the "Solutions" section) but the formats in which Paradigma.Ukraine may hold its own stake in a project, whether through expertise, operational management or selective capital participation. We are not an investment fund and do not raise capital for clients: below are four specific models in which we do genuinely participate.
Expertise for Equity — minority participation in exchange for expertise and operational management
In selected cases the company can enter a project on a minority basis where its contribution is expertise and operational management.
When it applies: when the investor has capital and an asset, but lacks a full local team for delivery, stabilisation, a crisis turnaround or preparation of the project for the next investment phase.
Ready-to-Build Opportunities — projects for subsequent delivery to an investor
The company either initiates a project itself or works under the mandate of a specific investor. The outcome is a ready-to-build package.
Each area is assembled as a standalone ready-to-build product — with site control, a permitting trajectory, technical configuration and deal structure.
Special Situations — operational involvement in crisis and distressed cases
A distinct model for assets where the core problem is not a lack of capital but a lack of manageability: an operating project with an investor that has run into regulatory factors, a documentary gap, a conflict with stakeholders or a need for transitional management after the deal closes.
First and foremost a management and GR mandate for a distressed asset. An equity stake in the project is not required.
The situation may transition into a model of minority participation in exchange for expertise and/or operational management.
Selective Private Equity — selective private capital participation
Separately and without front-line emphasis, the company may consider selective private equity projects where they fit the company's sector focus, the manageability of the risk and the potential for value creation. This is not the company's principal positioning but a selective, narrowly chosen format of participation.
Typical situations that lead to this page
An investor is entering a portfolio of renewable/BESS assets in Ukraine and requires due diligence, a permitting roadmap and local support.
A subsoil user is preparing for an auction, work on a special permit or a dispute over its extension or suspension.
An extraction or energy project has an asset and capital, but lacks local operational management.
A landowner or owner of an industrial site wishes to bring it to the ready-to-build stage.
An operating asset has issues with the regulator, supervisory authorities or the permitting framework and requires a legal, GR and management response.

Each of the four models above is either support with a possible stake in exchange for expertise, a deal-ready product, or selective direct participation. The final decision on participation is taken individually for each specific mandate.
